Lightbulb Keep Cat or Cut it Out?

Ok, i have GMPP cat-back, earlier i cut out my resonator, sounded good with stock header and DP now recently i installed a XTC 2.5 DP with high flow cat, and it has a bad rasp... so iam taking it in to have the resonator welded back in.

So i was thinking while its up on the lift should i have them cut my high flow out of my downpipe and just weld a pipe in its place? I have a CEL already so im not worried about that...

Pros? Cons?

resonator will get rid of the raspy sound, if you take your cat off and put your res back on you wont be raspy.......But you will be loud and crackle alot, lol.

Here is a vid of my car with the GMPP catback and catless downpipe, I left the resonator on!

Cutting off the cat to replace it with a resonator is just wasting money.

if its a high flow, youll be fine. The cat takes away alot of the rasp..

its best to add in a resonator.

no converter sounds like ass, unless you have a huge resonator(s)
last night i was tuning a members car who had teh CTI header/catless dp convo and a stock catback. It sounded like straight ass. (sorry Schaeffer)

That spec-v is now the fastest spec-v in the united states and many st.louis members can vouch about hearing of this car and seeing it run......its a VQ35 swapped spec-v and by all means is not slow at all, car ran 12.9's with just the swap and a few bolt-ons, my car just runs its ***** off, it now has a built motor and is stroked to a 4.2 on a 150 shot....

catless will make it even more annoying and raspy, there isn't any benefit at all going catless. I ran catless for a while since i blew it out, had the ZZP whisper resonator on and it still sounded like ass. Then the resonator broke due to shitty quality, so i put a magnaflow cat on and a huge magnaflow resonator and it sounds awesome.
