When my lights go on at night. the interior lights won't go on. I have no lights for my speedo or boost gadge. also the radio light dosen't dimm or any of the lighs for my hvac control so i can't see anythign in my car at night... all the signals and headlights/break lighs work fine..any ideas..i am going to go to the dealer on sat

did you try the dimmer knob?

 

That was my first thought too... but if it was all the way down you would have no radio light (clock) at all....

 

Sorry for the double post.... You have checked your fuses haven't you? Might save you a trip to the dealer... There should be a list in your owners manual that says where the light fuses are located... GOOD LUCK!!

 

Sounds like a problem with the ambient light sensor or BCM. A blown Park Lamps fuse (15A in the underhood fuselblock) is another possibility.
The BCM controls your IP backlighting so it will only occur when it's dark as detected by the ambient light sensor up on top of your dash pad (the small round thing next to your defrost grille) So having NO backlighting under daylight conditions is considered "normal" but in the dark the IP backlighting should come ON and be adjustable by the dimmer.
So if you cant see the speedo or other gages in the dark take it in to your dealer.

I had this problem, the dealership had the car for 2 weeks and replaced 3 separate modules to fix the problem. The gauges wont light up and the control knobs for the heater are dark also correct? If your lucky my dealership posted a tsb on the fix because like I said. 2 weeks to fix and a week that I had the car driving with the light of my cell phone to figure out what I was doing. Oh, and they beat the hell out of my dash board and steering column while fixing it.

 

LOL ya I checked the dimmer light..nothing.. i looked at all the fuses under the hood and they all were ok..i olnt yook out all the small ones 5,10,15, etc..not any of thoses big ones..i didn't want to touch them since I don't know what they do.

it sucks having to use my cell or turn on the map lights to see how fast i am going every 10 mins..lol I am going to take it to the dealer tuesday and hopefully they can fix it fast..
