Wink New product - Coilovers, anyone interested?

Hello all,
I recently came in contact with a newer suspension company that offers some great products, and I figured I would share. I had posted this info in the sticky, but then realized that the stickies are usually one of the last places people go in a lot of forums for info….These are some of the best looking (option wise) suspensions available, and are one of the only ones to offer a pillowball mount set up.

Anyways, here they are, if people show some interest, I will become a donating vendor, and set up a GP. I know I am a newbie to this site, but I have run several successful GP’s on other sites, as well as having a 100% positive feedback on E-ghey.

They come in 3 levels for the Balt's
S1- has:
Scaled suspension system for easier installation.
Full length adjustment system on lower mount
Separate ride height and spring pre-load adjustments
Aluminum alloy construction: lower mount, top mount, spring seat and locks
Forged aluminum top mount

R1- Scaled suspension system for easier installation.
Full length adjustment system on lower mount
Separate ride high and pre-load adjustments
Aluminum alloy construction: lower mount, top mount, spring seat and locks
Multi-positional manual damping force adjustment
Forged aluminum top mount

R3-Scaled suspension system for easier installation.
Full length adjustment system on lower mount
Separate ride height and pre-load adjustments
Aluminum alloy construction: lower mount, top mount, spring seat and locks
Multi-positional manual damping force adjustment
Front top mount includes an adjustable camber plate**
Front suspension is mounted on a pillow ball
Forged aluminum top mount

Thier "scaled" sleeves look like this, so you do not need a tape measure to adjust.....

They also can do custom spring rates to meet your needs.

Retail price:
S1-$1185
R1-$1330
R3-$1445

Obviously, it would be signifigantly lower if a GP is going.

I actually set up a special pricing GP on J-body, to get some reviews from some people who have driven on systems like Tein SS, gravada's, etc. To get a comparison review from a non-biased source. Unfortnately, The economy has almost completely halted the progress of that.

But if I would set up a GP, we would be looking at selling them for around 80% of retail price.

They have some great setups, for lots of applications, but this is all they currently offer for the balt. But they offer everything from thier standard system, all the way to fully adjustable external nitrogen applications.

I am kind of new to the Cobalt scene, so I do not know all the competition for a system like this. I have seen a few, but none that offer the features that these have. Do you guys have any links to similar products? I have seen a few systems, but none with a pillowball setup.

As far as interest goes, it does not really matter to me, the 80% price I would offer in the GP is basically my cost on them, and may not even cover the costs of becoming a supporting vendor (still cant find out how much that is....lol). I might even be able to do the same thing I did over at J-body, and sell them below my cost in exchange for an unbiased review on install, ride, and performance from a few people who have expirience with other systems.

Really, I wanted to show another option, that most people still don't know is out there.

**edit, I do see some others with "optional" pillowball mounts, that are about the same price range now.

are they bolt on, or is there modifications needed for install? if the pic above is the actual part, looks like it wouldn't just bolt on. if that's the case, that's a pretty steep price.

Thats just a stock photo. They will be a 100% bolt on kit, and I will verify that with them shortly.

also curious to know why you would want to sell them for your cost, and possibly lose money. there's no way you're going to do that without making money on it, you can be honest about it. i doubt anyone wants to help peple out that badly.

but serious question, why would someone choose this brand when like posted there are reputalble companies selling their known products for aroudn the same price? have these ever been installed on a cobalt?

My "business" is simply something I do in my spare time basically as a tax write off. I have a 9-5 job, doing work that pays the bills, quite nicely designing cooling systems for metal treatment furnaces. This is a hobby for me more than anything, and I use my business to get discounts on several different products I want, and pass it onto you.

There ARE seller incentives given by this company, for example if I sell x number of units in a year, I get a free kit.

Not to mention, getting a new product out on the market, usually requires some type of initila loss. If the quality of the product is there, people will come back and buy again....that kind of mentality.

As far as going with this suspension over others with an established name, I think the main reason would be a performance increase over some of the competition, such as the seperate adjustability of ride height, and spring preload. I dont see any kit within the same price range that has that (although I could be wrong). They also offer things that no one else does (although not for this particular application).

I do understand where you are coming from on the questioning, and that is why this is just a feeler thread. If I were going to drop a huge chunk of change on something, I would want to know that it is tried and tested and read some reviews to see if it is right for me. Which brings me back to why I am willing to sell these that low, in exchange for a non-biased review.

I have not sold any of the for the cobalts personally, but they keep the R3's in constant stock, and are moving them. The lower models, I would have to check with them about how many units have been sold/installed.

But, lunch time is OVA, I will try to pop in later and answer any questions.

As far as I have seen the product you are offering has no unique features other than the "scaled" bodies. Is there a single damping adjustment or seperate compression and rebound adjustments?

The higher up models have independant adjustment, these only have a single adjustment.

I will try to get a pic of the cobalt kit.

**edited for horrid spelling

So is the "single" adjustment bump/rebound linked? or just rebound?

Quoted from thier site:

Multi-positional manual damping force adjustment *

And the note refered to by the *:

* Compression and rebound: Each application has a different number of manual damping adjustments

pm me your address. We are making another batch to go out with the J-body GP that is being made right now. It will be a little while, but I will get you one.

Just so everyone knows, I am getting actual product photos of the Cobalt kits, and will post them up as soon as I get them.

blah you guys have so many selections!

I would have rather spent my money on a setup like this vs KW honestly though...the additional "features" are a nice touch.
