see when you out your finger on it it adds pressure to the mirror, and in doing so it stops it from shaking, when you remove it it will shake again.
theres no way to prevent it, and when my subs hit my rear view drops down and you cant even look out it.

all the mirrors are the same on all cobalts, unless you have a sunroof and then they have the lights in them or you have onstar.
the glass its self in side the mirror is not whats moving as everyone is telling you, its the hole unit, its all viberating witch makes you think the glass is moving and once you put your finger on it it stops, reason being your adding pressure to the unit and the glass so BOOM it stopped moving.
its the same deal as on ones on the side of your car, i know when my subs are bumping as i drive down the road i cant look out any of my mirrors cause they are all viberating so bad makes everything a blur lol.
you just gotta live with it, or remove your subs
