I know the sensors should be the same so that is easy. But, can we flash the HHR tune on our cars without much hassle? What is different about the HHR ECM and ours? Has anyone ever tried?

Dealer reflash changes more than what we have access to from what I understand, so the only thing you would be buying is the new sensors, still doing a custom tune. Not the same as a stage kit at all.

And you have a Global Connect login and a VCI for the HHR Stage Calibration?

Try it and find out??

There will be differences, the tune is probably different in some major tables, and the base programming in the PCM is most likely different as well. Best case, you end up with a slightly different map on some of the tables, worst case you fry the PCM or at least lose all fucntions until you go back on a Cobalt map. If you have a Tech II and the dealerworld access, do it and see what happens.

I just don't want to try it and brick the ECM. So I take no one has done it yet?

You wont brick the ECM, I do **** like that all the time with E69's you'll be fine.

you wont lock up the pcm, it will tell you it cannot take the new calibration or if it does take it things may not work. but flash it back and your good

The whole reason I brought this up is that I need a new MAP sensor anyway. I figured if I knew for a fact that the HHR stage kit would work I would just use that since it comes with sensors anyway. I don't want to be the test dummy for this.

Why not?

You don't want to be a pioneer and see if it works?

Shut up and do it already...you have the means to

Eh actually most of the time things dont work out that way, for instance you CAN brick an E69 by loading a 2007 calibration into a 2008+ E69... So hes playing it safe here

Meh, I don't really care to be a pioneer. I will just go with a stock sensor for now unless someone can show me for a fact that it will work.
