Pics of new mechanical boost . Autometers new white LED series

I have been waiting forever for Autometer to come out with some affordable (read ...Nexus is not affordable) guages that were backlit in normal white ( hate the cobalt blue gauages ) . Their new series Sportcomp II , Ultralight II , and Phantom II are perfect . I got the sportcomp II , which is gonna match the new guage face im having done by blackcatcustoms , and will be backlit in all white LED's .

This pic shows the contrast between the stock gauge lighting ( cluster is lit up believe it or not ) and the new autometer .

Im gonna be putting a how to on how I polished the bezel to match the factory cluster bezels , and lot of pics of the install to go with ExHondaMans excellent write up on installing a mechanical boost guage .

I dont notice differnce in readings from the stock boost gauge right now . When I get a smaller pulley though , I would just prefer to have a mechanical reading over the electrical signal . Its just a preference for me . Plus the white led backlighting of the autometer is gonna match my new guage cluster perfectly .

The stock gauges are up full blast , the auto meter is back lit with white LED's that are much brighter . I will be going thru and converting all the dash lighting to white LED's ( light the Cobalts shoulda had to begin with ) , I hate the dull nasty look incandesnt bulbs compared to led's . The stock guages will be converted white , but I think Im gonna do everything else red like the audi's . Everything white will probably blind me at night
