sooo there a guy at work who has a 6.0 deisel ford powerstroke who keeps sayin he wants to race. and im fine with that id like to race him but i dont want to lose to any idea what i would nee to beat him...
his mods are: intake, stright pipe, chip, some engine work i think he said like studs, and injectors.. he is also lifted sittin on 37x12.50's

does it have an upgraded turbo?

 

ummm put your foot on the pedal and put it to the floor,
1.your in an ss/sc
2. he's lifted and is very heavy
3. watch out for 4x4 launch
5.they are not that fast, just lots of torque and short gearing gives him a big head thinking he is fast.

 

I dont know man. Some of those trucks can be fast. If he has exhaust and is tuned and has some "Engine work" I think he may beat you.

With a little work that Stroke is a beast. Heavy as hell but depending on the mods he could easy walk you. Find out some more info first.

 

He's only driving an SS/NA. This makes the outcome questionable.

 

with the stock turbo,full bolt on and tune those fords can run in the high 12s....

i would say not to race him. I get humilated alot by the turbo diesels at my local track.

I beat a guy in a race in my 2.4 and he had a hd gmc it was chiped piped lift kit and bigger tiers and work done on the engine work he was pushing 500hp but he didnt beat me

 

what did u have done to your car anything. was his manuel or automatic (this guys is automatic)

 

you could get whipped, you would be surprised what some of those trucks can do, but completely depends on the truck-will be a toss up-try and see what happens

 

I'd watch it....usually when people start putting studs on and upgrading injectors they have a little more than just "a little work" done to the motor. These things can be very nasty if built right. Try to get some more details on it first

 

i known him since he got the truck and start workin on it so i kno he aint hiding much from me all what i said there is the jist of what hes doin. his truck is in the shop gettin new gaskets on it and the studs and the injectors on it and what not i kno its goin to be fast as **** im shore of it

 

oops i thought he had an sc. In that case it changes things a bit. I lived in a town with alot of those tuner diesels and didnt run into many that were crazy fast, and i dont really have any mods.

 

aparently you guys dont know your diesels, if he just, and i mean just, double stacks tuner chips, hes already added 150 hp. Dude, you are boned, you will not win.
