Look man. In any race, there is always potential you're going to lose. Picking on a diesel may result in you getting your feelings hurt. It's not hard for those diesels to be pushing MASSIVE and I mean MASSIVE torque. Well over 700lb/ft.

For big trucks, the can move very quickly.

But race him and find out. You win, great. You lose, life goes on (unless you decide to kill yourself because you lost...which would be irrational).

Have fun.

hell anymore you dont need to stack chips to get 150 horse.... my buddy ran a 15.3 in a 07 Cummins with a Triple Dog and that was it... just finished getting the trans rebuilt too. I say go for it and use it as a learning experience

Haha a 6.0l ford diesel. Race him, if you lose, race again. If the 6.0l holds true to its reputation, It'll blow up...

You'll probably need a SS/TC to win. Your 2.4 will get eaten if you race from a dig. I've seen lifted powerstrokes crackin mid 12s. His list of mods wasn't all that inpressive either.

since the kid is lifted and on mud tires try from a dig and a roll. he wont be able to get any traction anywhere. I have raced heavily modded diesels and have won, some have left me. It really just depends. Just do from a roll first and then play the from a dig by how the roll race goes. If you can drive well then you should be in the mid 14s with those mods, only if you drive well.

not to be a jerk or anything, you aren't very good at all. just comparing to the 1/4 and 1/8 times on the board. you are in the mid 15s at best.

Lawl...A Duramax Diesel...Don't get mad about the fact that the diesel might end up walking all over you. Those thing, even with as heavy as they are, when modified put down a heck of a lot of torque and can get up and go in a hurry.

I'd be questioning the possibility of your winning in a Stage 2 SS/SC or SS/TC, much less your SS/NA... No offense, but I foresee you getting annihilated.

our Duramax is about 340rwhp and 850rwtq. Thats with just a banks six gun w/ speed loader. But its a quad cab long bed...so very heavy...my 2.4 would pull after the 1/8th. Also i've seen two powerstrokes run at our local track both with just tuners.....one single cab long bed ran a 9.1...the quad cab ran a 9.4.
