Exclamation NEW ECU's DO NOT REQUIRE CLUTCH RELEARN!

Hey guys I have 800 miles on my new ECU and it works great so far now that I have a tune and have downloaded the stock file from the new ECU and uploaded the custom one. 100% Plug N Play ECU makes the clutch relearn headaches non-existent as they come with the latest OS.

PM me for more info if you want..

Wrong, odometer is recorded in the BCM, not the ECM.

So if you get a new ecm then u can get an after market tune and if something breaks take it out and put the old one in for sevice? How much does the ecm cost and how big of a job is it to switch out? How long does it take? Can gm not tell that you took it in and out? Thanks

The point isn't to get free warranty work the point is to retain the warranty incase you need it if you have to sell it or trade it in under the warranty you must make sure everything is good to go and not sell a bogus car that could result in sueing you after the other party finds out what you did and wants the money back ...

People who think ECU swapping is just to get free work are wrong ... Thats not how it should be .. In case we have any recalls etc, or something that requires an ECU update or check you don't want to risk it ...

I plan on trading the car for a new Camaro SS and do not plan to "Blow it Up"

Don't be stupid and you won't have to worry about blowing it up ... Don't tune it yourself if you do not know what you are doing .... Do not mod it if you do not know what you are doing ...

LOL Even AFTER I told him he was wrong?

Also a little note here hopefully this wont **** the admins of but so far ECM's that come from me IE Mine are direct from BOSCH not from GM SPO dont require CPP relearns... I've heard others say they had to do CPP relearns on new ECM's (from dealers) but so far (God I hope that doesnt come back to bite me!) none of mine have had that issue. Just wanted to correct that before people went out and got one and had to do it LOL
