As the title says, looking to see if any '05-'06 L61 owners are interested in LSJ cams. I will have several sets available in the next few weeks, and just thought I'd gauge interest.

I'm pretty sure they have the same grind as us L61's. Now, if you got the valvetrain from those heads someone might be interested.

No, the '05 doesn't have the same grind. I have yet to be able to confirm that the '06 L61 is the same as the LSJ cam, and I know the current GM cam spec chart on gmtunersource and crateenginedepot say that it is, but, the previous GM cam spec sheets contradicted this info. However, the lash adjusters, roller followers, and springs are all the same components, the only significant difference other than the cams are the valves themselves.

Bump-updated info.

i could've sworn I read somewhere that LSJ cams had the same cam profile as L61 cams just with different timing.

*not trying to sidebust, just curious

GM's current spec sheet says MY06 L61 cams have the same profile and different timing than the LSJ.

GM's old camshaft spec sheet had specs on '02 to '06 L61 cams and did not agree with the current spec sheet. I can't seem to find the old spec sheet posted anymore, but I'm pretty sure I have it at home.

are you sure it wasnt '02-'04? those would the the L61's in the cavaliers and such. There were no changes from '05 to '06, and i about 100% positive they have the exact same profile as the LSJ cams. GM re-tests all of their changes and releases new numbers when they do. Hence why the '05-'06 L61 is rated for 145hp, and once coil on plug ignition was added, they changed it to 148hp

anyway, if you want LSJ cams for your L61, the easiest thing to do is just get adjustable timing gears and set the same timing as the LSJ. Boom, done
