ecu ready monitor question
ecu ready monitor question
I searched the forum first and came up empty, I have an ariel atom with a cobalt ss/sc ecu and hp tuners, I put this ECU in a few months ago and my inspection is up in Texas, well I can't pass b/c both Evap and 02 ready monitors aren't ready.
I need to know if anyone has the drive cycles available so I can do whatever driving cycle needs to be done to get the 02 ready monitor to change, I heard that the evap almost never runs so I'm trying for the easy one first.
for the last 50 miles I have driven at highway speeds and avoided hard acceleration, prior to that I was driving at full acceleration and at speeds between 100-140mph a good portion of the time.
Any advice would be appreciated, I have less then 2 weeks to go back for inspection without paying again so that would be nice.
ps last year I had a factory (brammo/gm tune) ecu in the car and i had to drive it 150 miles after the battery had been disconnected for the ready monitors to be good to go, but this year I'm 99% sure I've done way more miles then that since the battery was last disconnected however, it was not "easy driving" so i'm wondering if that was the problem.

It takes a LONG time to go through the cycles. It took me weeks and 600+ miles to get the evap. It doesn't have to do with millage either, it's set on drive cycles. Every time you disconnect the battery or tune it it restarts. I don't know if that helps you at all.
well it confirms what I was thinking which is why I was trying to see if anyone had the GM drive cycles especially for the 02 ready monitor because I'm pretty sure that is supposed to be an easy one to get ready so I was going to try to get it ready because I can have 1 monitor NOT READY which I had thought would be the evap since it's so hard to get.
