Ok, I was going to wait to post this but decided to do it now. I have been trying to get a club going for all Ecotec powered rides ex. Cavalier, Sunfire, Aveo, Astra, Impala and you get the picture. Being that I have an LSJ I am in the Durty South LSJ Association which of course was aimed at us LSJ'ers but talking with the President of DSLSJA we have decided to try and merge the two groups. I have a site set up already for the Carolina Ecotecs and its own board(for now). It can be found by clicking here http://www.geocities.com/carolinaecotecs/Home . Its a rather modest place right now but I'm hoping as with the merger the word well get spread around and more people well join up, I have made little flyers and am going to start hitting up(not literally) cars as I see them and maybe getting to speak to the owner. Its a on geocities cause my idea was to keep it free and I was not going to put money into a site if it did not get going but I am hopeful more people with find their way there. As far as the board goes, I am keeping the one on the site up until we get a section in the DSLSJA section on USLSJA. Kinda hoping this post might help move things along that way. The site is going to stay though. There is talk about stickers, something like

aswell as shirts but this means there may be a member fee of around $20 or so. Not sure yet but if the club turns into anything like my DSLSJA family I think people well see how cheap that is for a great group of people who do put their hands in when help is needed.

together we should comprise of a bigger association... call it durty south ecotec association, or south east ecotec's or something like that

 

Not a bad idea, when I made the club Carolina Ecotecs, my goal was for anything eco powered, I would hate to stray from that, am alittle worried that something I AM trying to make well be taken over ya know though but we well see. Though I am thinking about making for any balt, G5 and Soltice/Sky only and leaving out the other Eco cars just cause I am one of them old school people who think a huge mix of cars(though great) is not all that nice. As I said, we'll see as I talk it over more with Photo and SCblkRL more.
