Yakima has a roof rack for our cars now, but pricing is insane, it would be over $500 to carry 2 bikes.
Nothing from sportrack or thule yet. Sucks since Sportrack has a manufacturing facility about 5 miles from my house, they provide OEM racks to the automakers.
And I too have one of my older bikes to sell

If you find a rack that clears the spoiler on your SS let us know.

What kind of bike did you get?? Below is a pic of my bike. Only thing I have changed since that pic is a set of Cane Creek bar ends and Cane Creek Thudbuster seat post.

Specialized rocks. There are plenty of good bike companies out there but with Specialized it's hard to beat the components you get for your money.

Follow up on bike racks. You can get roof racks that dont need to be drilled. But they are expensive. Trunk racks arnt possible because of the huge wing.

Its been a while since there has been any new info on Bike racks for the SS/SC. Just wanted to know if any of the bikers have found any racks that work.

I have a Saris rack for my Z24 thats pretty adjustable. According to their website www.sarisproducts.com i think it may fit.

How about ski racks??? Anyone ski even though as of right now its 90 degrees celsius (90 Fahrenheit )

I have one made by Yakima I don't use, it holds up to 4 bikes. PM me if you want it, I'll make you a great deal.

I'm sorry if this has already been posted someplace else in the forum, but I have a 2006 Cobalt LS and my dealership put a hitch on because I wanted to get a hitch rack. I went to get a 4 bike rack and it required a 2" hitch. My dealership put on what looks like a 1" hitch. I'm just curious if anyone thinks that the cobalt is too small for a bigger hitch and they put on the smaller one because they don't want people actually pulling anything? Should I stick with a 2 bike rack or is it okay to look for something to convert my 1" to a 2" and get the 4 bike rack? Thanks!

Any updates if any trunk racks fit? There's some good priced ones on CL. About how much does the bike hitch cost after everything?

my trunk rack was ok on my wingless sedan. IMO it would be very tight, if even possible, if you have any wing.

there are companies that make adapters the go to 2" from the smaller size receiver. even then u would have to pay attention to handlebar height vs. wing. many receiver racks are set far back, for use with SUV's, so it may not be a problem.

I got a 4 bike hitch rack. I have the 1 inch draw-tite rack then i have a 1 inch to 2 inch adapter( had the rack prior to the car) i have only ever had one bike on there and i wouldnt suggest loading it up with 4. seems like it would have a lot force put on the hitch if you have 4 bikes on it and hit a bump.
for one bike this set up seems best
