My car was out of alignment quite a bit after i lowered my car, so i just had it done and that way i am not gonna prematurely wear my tires down, or have a difference in the cars handling, for like $50 its well worth it IMO
I've heard that if you mark the areas where the two bolts go you won't have alignment issues. You know, mark them so when you bolt up that area, the lines you marked are aligned. Does that make sense? Correct me if I'm wrong maven.
do it your self man, its like 2 hour tops job.
the rear all you need is a 19mm socket and jack, drop the rear axel and take the old prings out and slap the new ones in, now the front a slightly harder.
take a marker mark the two bolts on the strut 1 and 2, make a line down the side to the strut so you can line them up when putting back on (helps keep it somewhat aligned) then remove them they are a 19mm, you need a hammer to take them out once the nut is off, then remove the 3 bolts on top, they are a 13mm, then drop the strut down, you dont need to remove the sway bar link, i tried one of mine and i broke it so i left the other one on. you can go to crappy tire and rent spring compressors or you can go out and buy your own at princess auto for like 30 bucks.
compress the spring remove that last bolt on top of the strut, i think its 16 or 17 mm remove spring, uncompress it, then compress the new ones put them on and re bolt everything again and BANG your done!
id help yea, but my car is on all 4 of my jack stands and my jack is at the storage place, and i REFUSE to use that little cheap red one we have from crappy tire.
your right soem what.
you still going to have the toe or heal out, or maybe be cocked eyes too.
because your lowering the car and with doing the marking your pretty much putting it to stock even though your lowering, so it helps out a little.
i lowered my car and drove the car for 1.5 years before getting it aligned and my tires were starting to show metal lol
