Killer Chiller questions!!!!
Which is better, i know that the Killer chiller is suppose to be off the hook and keeps my IATs down, but i havent heard much about the product, the company said they dont know of any supercharged cobalts or ions that have it on yet. If there is tell me how u like it, or someone share the info that you know. Would the killer chiller be better than getting meth kit?
Thanks
Thanks
its always good to be different hence the killer chill that you've been looking at. however there are some things you need to take into consideration when keeping everything nice and cool under the hood to prevent anything from breaking or breaking. In these cases you should follow and get the Meth kit i say. keeping your baby cool is a must. there isnt room for error. thats my opinion bro.
This is a interesting topic i can help you with.
How the killer chiller works is it uses your a/c charge to cool the i/c fluid down to very low temps 50* range. To use this you would leave your a/c on before a run for X amount of time and it cools the fluid down and allows it to resist heat soak. In testing it lowered iat2's 20* on a tvs car after sitting for 1 min on a 60* day so i could only imagine what it could do on a hotter summer day.
As far as the meth kit there are two main types maf or map based. So once you hit a certain cell or psi you start spraying. Depending on the mixture you run 50/50 75/25 etc.. you can bump timing across the board and lean the car out becuase its running richer with the additonal fuel. It also helps to cool the car ever so slighlty. On my car i saw a 15* difference in temps on my 5 gph and a 18* difference on my 7 gph.
In the end its really about what you want to do with the car. Imo if your a drag racer a killer chiller would be perfect becuase the car can be cooling down while you are waiting for a run, but if you had meth you would be heating up waiting for the run and then start spraying into the run.

Thanks alot for your expertise. i want to just be able to run it hard whenever i want but have the temps down even though i will be hooking whatever system i get with the TVS. so if i get the devils meth kit, that comes with the controller, i can have it inject automatically at whatever boost level, is that correct.

Look at it like this, both water methanol injection and the killer chiller have a role to play. While your in the staging lanes you get alot of heat soak buildup, this is when you run the killer chiller since its off the AC system. When you go full throttle under your run the Killer Chiller can't help you making boost will heat up the air, this is where the water injection comes into play, it will help those cool temps you started with keep from rising too high at the end of the run.
One without the other I don't feel is completely effective because theres a portion of time where they arent running. Each serves there own purpose.

Well the tracks that I go to basically forbid you to sit in line with the A/C on because you start to drip water onto the track. I would think it's not very different at other tracks around the country.
