2006 cobalt ss stage 2 vs 2008 eclipse gt
2006 cobalt ss stage 2 vs 2008 eclipse gt
who would win this? its been bothering me. i have a 06 cobalt ss sc stage 2 and my gf is gettn the eclipse. the eclipse weighs so much more, and the 0-60 times are almost the same. some one help me out here.
I meen if the weight is over a thousand pounds difference, and the eclipse only has me by .6 of a second stock. then stage two should take it, still close, but it should. I have no questions that a SS could take a eclipse GS, its only like 160something hp.
Can't go by magazine times (esp 0-60 times) to see who will win a race..along with rated HP. The Eclipse is only ~500lbs heavier not over a thousand and also a stock SS has more than 205bhp in reality.
Curb weight is about five your right.
The gross weight for a eclipse is over four thousand.

The gross weight for a cobalt is three thousand.
Whats the deal there?

No, it's a manual and the MITSU website has it at 3479lbs.

Curb Weight 3,483 lbs
Gross Vehicle Weight 4,332 lbs
Gross weight is not how much the car weighs. Look at the Mitsu site and it says 3479lbs.
Its how much weight a vehicle is designed to carry. The GVWR includes the net weight of the vehicle, plus the weight of passengers, fuel, cargo and any additional accessories. The GVWR is a safety standard used to prevent overloading.
I feel stupid but i found my anwser on the next site, then you told me to confirm it.
anyways.
Do you think it would be a drivers race? or one sided with the eclipse crushing me?
