Stick. I was reading up on them. I meen 0-60 in 5.8, and the 06 cobalt ss/sc is 6.2 (no stage) at 205hp.

I meen if the weight is over a thousand pounds difference, and the eclipse only has me by .6 of a second stock. then stage two should take it, still close, but it should. I have no questions that a SS could take a eclipse GS, its only like 160something hp.

Can't go by magazine times (esp 0-60 times) to see who will win a race..along with rated HP. The Eclipse is only ~500lbs heavier not over a thousand and also a stock SS has more than 205bhp in reality.

Curb weight is about five your right.

The gross weight for a eclipse is over four thousand.

The gross weight for a cobalt is three thousand.

Gross Weight - . 1. Weight of a vehicle, fully equipped and serviced for operation, including the weight of the fuel, lubricants, coolant, vehicle tools and spares, crew, personal equipment, and load.

Look what you posted....

Curb Weight 3,483 lbs
Gross Vehicle Weight 4,332 lbs

Gross weight is not how much the car weighs. Look at the Mitsu site and it says 3479lbs.

Definition: Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
It’s how much weight a vehicle is designed to carry. The GVWR includes the net weight of the vehicle, plus the weight of passengers, fuel, cargo and any additional accessories. The GVWR is a safety standard used to prevent overloading.

They should be at both around ~240whp (Eclipse with a little better ft-lbs and top 240's) the Cobalt is ~500lbs lighter. Equal drivers equals a deff win for the Cobalt.
