I have a shake...

Well my car does when I'm under about 40km/h and cornering. It feels like my steering is loose and woobly. I have the Eibach sportlines, and that's about all.

Any thoughts on what this might be?

Thanks!!

Did you get an alignment after lowering? If not, it shouldn't cause shaking like that unless it is really outa whack. It is still a good idea to get the alignment after for your tire's sake, and it might even solve your problem. If not, move on to the next possibility.

Its the same vibration I have had since the install of my springs ( a yr now). And others have reported on here as well. I have yet yo figure out what exactly is the cause. But I think its camber. Even tho the camber is in spec with the lowering springs. I say this cause when I lower the psi on the front tires its not very noticeable, but as the tires heat up after driving or sitting in the sun all day and the psi increases it is very noticeable.
I have replaced both cv axles, hubs and bearings and have uninsulated and reinstalled everything to the point that I can do it in my sleep, not that its hard to do to begin with.
I have a thread running around here some where, might want to check it out.

Me and this sir right here, both have the exact same problem.

I've taken everything apart multiple times, and there is no reason for the problem.

I'm sure it's not harmful in any way at all. Like he said, he's been driving on it like that for a year.

Welcome to the club though!

Angry

I know this much, you put the stock springs back in and even with out a realignment the vibration goes away. SO its something in the geometry of the drive line or suspension. Im guessing suspension. I have done many, many lowerings of cars I have owned and have never had this issue. From FWD to RWD on a good dozen car over the last 5-6 yrs and nothing like this with this car. Again I have noticed that tire psi seems to effect it. Early in the morning isnt near as bad as in the afternoon with the car sitting in the sun and the tire psi increasing do to the heat of the sun. Right now I have mine set at 28 cold (first thing in the am) and its not to bad. But from my experience the tire psi will increase a good 2 psi (dosnt sound like much) just sitting in the sun. And now add a steady 30min drive down the HWY and you can add another 2psi = 4psi 32 (again dosnt sound like much). But with the lowering of the suspension and the increase or decrease of tire psi will all effect camber and toe. SO whats the answer, Hell I dont know. I do know it drives me nuts at low speeds and stop light to stop light driving.

Here thread I started about the issue some time ago, didnt get alot of help.

I did that last year, both of them. Nothing! My vibration seems to feel like it comes from the right front. Now what I did notice is with the stock motor mounts in the car it felt like a "wobble". But since I installed the front and rear poly mounts it is more of a vibration. Interesting.

So does mine.

The poly mounts cause more of a vibration until they're worn in; or so I've heard, anyway.

No the poly mounts are not the cause. I did have them when I first installed my springs last year. I knew my point would get missed. I have the same vibration in my car prior to the poly mounts. Once I installed the mounts it changed how the vibration felt. When I wrote my thread (linked to a post above), no poly mounts were on the car. The vibration felt more like a shake, then once the poly mounts were installed it turned into a vibration. With either set up it has always felt like it is originating from the right front. Its some times more noticeable when I make a left turn, thus loading the right front wheel. But as the OP has said it between 20-40 mph under a light to moderate load.
