Fake 2.2 SS

Ugh... I was a bit taken back on sunday when my girl and I went to Steak and shake... at the local Party City.. a black Cobalt LS or LT... whatever... was parked outside on Rt. 51.

This normally wouldnt set me off, because I love all cobalts naturally... but.... it had all kinds of stuff done to it! for instance
Headlight shades - chevy symbols on the side mirrors, FAKE SS tags on the doors and rear.. and other stickers and such... /sigh

I saw a 2.2 Cobalt at Walmart in Greensburg that was all riced out. Had decals everywhere and painted grilles that didn't match. It almost made me sick. Usually I try to park near other balts but not that one.

Yeah there definatly are ricers in every group.. just didnt expect to see it already lol.

His SS symbols were like brown.. or some wierd color / shape compared to the normal SS on all Chevys cars now. My girl was like.. paul thats a 2.4.. so we had a little tiff and I calmy pointed out the front ends fog lights were completely different... + didnt have the 2.4's exhaust.

I just wish there were less cobalts in my area in general.. a quick drive down Rt. 51, and you could probably cound 20-30 balts in a 5 mile span....

At the Wayne County Fair in Wooster, OH there was a vender there w/ an Accord on display. Usual showcar w/ kit, rims, paint, and spoiler. Spoiler happedn to be the ss/sc spoiler. I asked him to confirm this, and he paid 400 for it....man, I woulda sold it to him and then used that money to have him paint the rk sport 3pc spoiler for me....

I see you took off the side moldings, our cars look better without them

Oh yeah, I was amazed at how much cleaner it looked. I'm glad the moldings weren't in some sort of groove in the car. One of the easier, cheaper modifications to handle...

No doubt. I thought my car looked so much older, less sportier with them.

Yo guy, nice car by the way. You're like my Cobalt role model. I hope to take mine to that level someday.

Thanks, some peaple can be real wankers on here about their cars, they are pretty much the same, and onother thing most of the aftermarket is for the 2.2 because the peaple payed less for it because alot of them want to put kits on them and style it to their own liking

Oh, I know Mike has a G5. But it's still a tight ride. Pretty damn close to a Cobalt...
