Nato09 03-24-2009, 11:45 PM does anyone know the link to the how to: install lowering springs? i searched but it didnt find anything. stenguyen1 03-25-2009, 09:12 AM go to the how to section and type in spring install or something like that and there will be thousands of threads how to install springs pykie 03-25-2009, 09:24 AM easy as pie! start off with the rear, jack the car up put it on jack stands drop the jack to let the axel hang un bolt your wheels and take a 21mm socket remove both lower bolts on the shock, then pull out the spring put the bump stops in and put the springs back in jack up the axel till the bolt screws in and bang rear done. front get spring compressors. unbolt the 3 top strut screw (13mm) unbolt the 2 strut bolts that connect to steering knuckle (19mm) hanmer out the screws drop the strut down, compress the spring and then remove the nut on top (21mm) remove the spring compress new one and do it all over and your done or read the instructions :P Nato09 03-25-2009, 01:48 PM sounds easy enough. thanks! silver06cobalt 03-25-2009, 02:32 PM Before you do it though be sure you have air tools.. They make the job SOOO much easier.. with them it took me maybe an hour.. without it took me almost 5. The hard part is getting the top nut off the strut assembly because when you try to loosen it all it does is spin the strut. We had to get really big vice grips and stand on them to close them around the strut tight enough. then had to put a cheater bar on the socket wrench to get enough leverage to spin the nut off silver06cobalt 03-25-2009, 02:32 PM Before you do it though be sure you have air tools..
