Best Sway Bar's for my setup?

Hey everyone, got my Koni's installed today with my Eibach Pro-Kit, I have an FE1 suspension(2005 LS Sedan), now I wanna do the sway bar's. I have read around here to upgrade to the FE5 front sway bar and get the TTR rear.

Would that be the best setup for my Koni/Pro-Kit/FE1 setup? Or would bolt on aftermarket bar's for the front and back be better off?

I have also read the TTR rear bar is to "stiff", so Maven or somebody else who knows what their talking about please just give me a straight answer on which bar's to go with(and tell me what other part's I need to make it work, if any?)

Thanks in advanced!!

For some tough track abuse or for street use?

Most FWD respond the best on the track with no front sway bar and a medium stiffness rear swaybar.

For street get the FE5 front sway bar with a Progress rear swaybar.

Yes the TTR *may* be to stiff for your setup. However if you get the Eibach front sway bar and the TTR rear, you should be in the clear

all street, definitely wont be going to the track. now does the FE5 front bar a direct swap, or do I need new bushings or any thing like that?

Probably a good idea to do new bushings with some nice swaybar end links.

i actually just recently had my end links and bushings replaced not too long ago, if I did want to replace them, would I have to buy FE5 end links and bushings?

is their any good combination where I wouldn't have to touch any of that and just bolt on the new bar? and if their is what would be the the best combo for front and back?

im not really feeling all this

"In order to change an FE1 car over to an FE5 front antisway you must order 2005 SS/SC insulators, 2006-up FE3/5 cars use a "2 bolt" clamp and an insulator with a "hump" in it. ALL FE1 cars use a "1 bolt/1 slot" clamp, and insulators with "no hump" The 2005 SS/SC clamps/insulators are the only parts that allow a proper mod free install of an FE5 bar in an FE1 car."-Maven

basically what would be the cheapest, best combo so far I see
1.) progress rear/fe5 front
2.)TTR Rear/eibach front?

If you get the TTR rear, we recommend the Eibach front, just as you have stated.

for the eibach front, do I just buy that kit or do I need any thing else? (Besides better End Links and Sway Bar Bushings)

FE5 front bar(all you need is the bar and bushings from a 2005 SS/SC)

Time Attack 1.0/Street bar from OTTP, or Eibach rear bar.

If you dont replace the front bar....Progress rear bar.

sweet so all that clamp/ insulator stuff I don't need to worry about?
and am I retarded and are the bushings and insulators the same thing? on your supension thread it says the FE1 uses the same clamp as SS/SC FE3, but not the same insulator's.

and j/w, how come the Time Attack bar isn't on the OTTP site?

http://www.ottperformance.com/Cobalt...120/index.html

You need to worry about it but its not difficult....youve got a non SS car so you need the 2005 SS/SC bushings and bar. Simple.

The bars are rumored to appear on the site by the end of the weekend. Ive heard rumors theyll be in my "signature" color, LOL.

(I hope my bar shows up before they go on sale officially.....be kinda ghey to do one of my SNEAK PEEK threads when they are on the site already, LOL)

this is my setup. TTR rear is already on, and the eibach front is being shipped now. I better not need any bushings for that front that no one told me about....and if i do, you should add em to your site. lol

How thick are the TTR, progressive, and ottp rear bars? Looking to match one up with my FE3 front bar.

TTR=25mm
Progressive=22mm

Just not sure on the ottp rear....Maven?

TTR and OTTP are both 1" (25.4mm), but Maven seems to suggest the OTTP one is more street friendly (IE weaker), so its probably either slightly hollowed or made from a weaker material

Yes. For the longest time I just had Sportlines and the DC Sports front strut bar........but once I got the Progress rear sway bar, the car just had a much more balanced feel to it.

i feel the stiffness hardcore. Biggest mods i think you can do to change your handling are springs, struts, and sway bars...assuming same tires of course

Hrmm the ottp seems to be what i'll go with...wanted something thicker then the progress 22mm one and was hoping for a 23 or 24mm for the rear seeing as the fe3 front is a 22mm. I may however go with the progress rear and mess around with the rear koni settings rather then go to big on the rear with the ottp....just gotta stew over it...or wait for maven to chim in....but i def don't want a purple rear bar

Well, I think my shock/spring setup is my Achilles heel right now. Sportlines are too soft, and my stock FE3 shocks/struts have almost 60k on them.......so they aren't in the best of shape. I'm looking into maybe getting some K-Sport coilovers over the spring.

not really depends on if its an lt or ss. SS's can get around a lil longer on stock struts but a set of koni's will keep the ride from getting sloppy.
