well i hit a deer yesterday morning, my cobalt is down. almost $4000 in damage, maybe more i think my radiator is smashed in cause i keep getting high spikes in engine temp, ill post pics soon once i get around to it mostly waiting for adjuster now to upload the ones he took,(my camera sucks so ill wait for his)

but i got a rental....i hate it 2.0 sentra with a CVT tranny....its way to weird for me

Hey Small world, I also hit a deer yesterday, screwed my hood all to heck, luckily thats the only damage on my car.

I hate adjustors take there flippen time. Glad to see your okay man. take some more pics the car doesnt actually look that bad.

 

shop has the car now, its just looks bad, dents that can be fixed, alot of hair the final estimate was like $2800 which i thought would of been worse

naw just going to have insurance do it i've been working 10hr days so i don't feel like working on it, plus it was leaking coolant when the adjuster went to look at it, so i don't feel like screwing with it

New radiator is quite a bit. New hood + paint. Fender and grill and lord knows what else.. 2800 seems a little low. Maybe not.

 

thats without tearing the car apart....thats what he got by looking at it, so once the body shop starts to tear into her, who knows what they will find

 

my cobalt was never the same after my fender bender..the hood paint ended up chipping really easy, they didnt install the front fascia quite right so the bottom of the headlight housing scratched the paint off the fascia, luckily it doesnt pull to either side or anything weird

the 1st day i got it, a bus decided to stop in the middle of an intersection and toss on his red lights, causing the car in front of me to slam on his brakes, i did the same but didnt stop in time, hit the guy in front of me (stupid prius) at about 15mph or less..$4k dmg to just my car and another 3k to the prius - oddly enough he just got his car too i felt bad but it was really the bus driver's fault and the mechanics at the dealer for not checking the brakes (still covered in rust **** from sitting on the lot for 3months)

 

that sucks man. i got lucky about 3 months into me having my ss/sc. a deer jumped out in front of me by about 60-70 foot and i was quick enough to immediately hit the brakes and the car stopped about 6 inches from the deer, then it moved out of the way. i honestly want to say that it was no further than 60 foot, however i know that sounds hard to believe. the ss/sc brakes are underrated.

 

one thing good though they are putting a ss bumper on...yay fog lights
