spoke with turbotech today. They are going to be in real real soon. The pieces themselves had to be powder coated. so the place turbotech is getting them from should be getting them today or tomorrow. They should ship them out to turbo tech hopefully by the end of this week. so hopefully we should be seeing these real soon. Thanks again aaron for letting me order the exhaust. i think i got the ignall thing right. if not im sure they will post a reply soon.

I ordered mione over a month ago!!!! I got my stage 2 kit in today, going to do install at noon and I was hoping to have the torque dampener to go with the stage 2 kit.... *Sigh* Well I guess on the bright side, this will allow me to see a before and after of what kind of difference it will make with the stage 2 kit already in.

It has been this way with everything for our cars. K&N, TOG, B&M, Ingall's. From now on no more group buys for me. For the bit I save, it isn't worth the aggrivation of pay and and just wait until ??????. If it doesn't exist and being held buy the person selling it, I won't pay. If I am waiting the money may just as well be in my pocket.

TURBO TECH RACING will be the first to ship these items out.

Plus at TTR you get a $4.95 cash credit (Reward Points) for any future order. So we are almost $10 cheaper than anyone elses prices.

Thanks everyone we will keep you updated.

Standard ground shipping is on average about $10-12 (which is free and included), over-night is $50-60. If you would like to upgrade to a faster service we maybe able to work something out. However being right in the middle of the US, everyone should have theirs in about 3 days after we ship.

I thought that the 164.95 was only offered to those who did the group buy? What was the point of the group buy then?

TurboTechRacing
04-12-2006, 07:37 PM
Well finding out another vendor is going lower than the $174.99 price they paid it is only fair to those also. As they shouldnt have to pay more.

We are going to add $5 in reward points to anyone of the first 15 that ordered at $164.99. This way you have just about $10 in a cash discount on future items. I hope this offsets the wait time some. Check your online account in about 24 hours and you should notice extra points in your savings.

If we miss adding this extra $5 in reward points to your account email us and we will double check it.

Thanks!

TurboTechRacing
04-12-2006, 07:46 PM
If you placed your order on 3-17-06 or before we updated all the online accounts and added the Extra $5 in reward points. Anyone from 3-18-06 and after can get the 164.99 price but will not get the extra reward points.

I hope this is fair.

We have had a couple contact us that paid the 174.99 and they have been credited the $10 to the 164.99 shipped price. Just email me Aaron@turbotechracing.com with your order ID and full name, and a short note on the $10 credit.

And again the original customers that purchased at $164.99 free shipping should notice an extra $5 in reward points on their account.

If you read their post they are shipping "20" today. Gravana is not shipping to anyone as a customer, they are trying to pull a fast one on everyone. Ingalls is shipping them to us, and gravana today. Then we both get them in 3 days. So on Tuesday we both will have these in stock. Well we have 30 on order with Ingalls and talking to Rob at Ingalls our Stiffys will be shipping before Gravana.

these things look great. i am happy as hell to have a production one on now. these are very well put together, and look nice too. the redline that came in while i was there had no issues so they do fit the redlines also. it is a great product and the guys at Ingalls went far above and beyond to get these out. granted they are a little late but i was glad to see them to take the extra time to make sure there was no issues with these brkts. my hat is off to rob, steve, brad, todd, and tim for all their help in making a great product for the cobal and redline.

Put it half way and see how you like it. If it is too stiff and the vibrations are bad then loosen it up. If it is too soft and your getting wheel hop, tighten it up a bit until it is gone!

EDIT: I found out you have to remove the washers... The pics show the washers installed which are wrong...I've updated the dampner since.

I just found out that you DO NOT want to use the metal washers.. they got added in from the other kits by accident..the newer kits will not have them in it..

the washers kick it off at an angle which you do not want..you want the damper installed as straight as possible.

BTW YOU WANT IT INSTALLED ON THE BRACKETS IN THIS SEQUENCE!!!!

bolt head> rod end>rubber o ring >bracket>nut

if you have it out of sequence you get metallic sounds and potentially harm the damper internals or brackets..

Just got mine today. Has anyone got there and installed it yet? how long did it take?

Got mine and installed in 10 minutes... EASY install.

Before I bolted the ETD to the brackets I adjusted mine to 10mm the hardest setting. Took it for a drive and ZERO WHEEL HOP!!!!!! The stiffest setting doesn't cause any harsh vibrations and the car shifts firm and all I hear is wheel SPIN!!!! No more wheel hop. YIPPI

First gear is useless now..lol

THANKS ENGALS!!!!

Ok so was showing a buddy it and dumped it and i got terrible wheel hop. Checked under the hood today and the mount tabs where the damper mounts are bent. I installed it so no force was required to slide the damper on the bolts because the damper was too long when I got it out of the box so I moved the heim joint adjustment in closer....Now I cant find any of my directions or anything. I just now undid the tensioner jam nut and slid the tensioner assembly nut out about 2 turns and rejammed it...did I adjust it right? Why is my brackets bent already? I dont want to have to keep readjusting it...

Any thoughts?

Dan

According to the directions you can put the bolt and nut either way. The only thing that can't be changed is now the washer and o-ring go on.

I just opened my box and these are some hefty brackets. Not sure how they would bend.

I heard Ingalls were test fitting it for the redlines earlier this week. Did they figure it out?

it might fit considering it is the same motor mount for 05+ redlines.. gotta make sure first

I've had busted motor mounts in my neon before and I know what they feel like. my mounts feel the same as the day I bought the car. Also I checked all of them and there is no ripped material or leaking from any of the hydrauic mounts. From what I see all my mounts are fine.

I just got mine and I must say I an NOT very impressed with the finished quality of this piece. It has gouges and scrapes all over it and the edges are all knicked up. It really doesn't look like something I just paid a couple hundred dollars for!

Intalled the mount and the marked side of the brackets is on the inside so I am not worried about it. This thing works AWESOME. I notice a very very slight vibration in low RPM's but it isn't bad at all. I had full solid mounts in my Neon and it was terrible for the vibrations. Truth is though, This works as well as the solid mounts I used to have!!

We took extra time to re pack the dampeners with bubble wrap. They initially came to us without much packing, just those foam sheets. We stuffed the boxes with bubble wrap to prevent any damage and things that might have caused a delay for install.... :) Just giving the best customer service we can :)

I just found out that you DO NOT want to use the metal washers.. they got added in from the other kits by accident..the newer kits will not have them in it..

the washers kick it off at an angle which you do not want..you want the damper installed as straight as possible.

BTW YOU WANT IT INSTALLED ON THE BRACKETS IN THIS SEQUENCE!!!!

bolt head> rod end>rubber o ring >bracket>nut

if you have it out of sequence you get metallic sounds and potentially harm the damper internals or brackets..

pm'd u about this...I am making shipping add the bubble wrap..I guess they were in such a rush to assemble them that it wasn't added on this batch..

good looking out fo rthe customers though adding the extra bubble wrap..

I'm pretty sure it took a 18mm deep well socket on my car. That doesn't really mean it will be the same size on yours because GM has used a few different sizes on the motor mounts.

I'm not promising anything. The top bolts on my car are 16mm, so the nuts might be a different size too.

I am not convinced with this mod. So you guys are gonna be like, well why did you post? Its because I want something to eliminate wheel hop and not something that might. Don't get me wrong, I don't really care. I probably won't take any chances and keep my money until there is more research done. A how to could be kool tho.

It works, makes the entire car feel stiffer, no more lag from the engine moving around on the soft motor mount. And this is all on the stock setting thats not even tight....

I have a stupid question, I hope you understand what Im asking. When the dampener is installed, is it supposed to have a little bit of rotational ability because of the swivle where the bolt goes thru the dampener?

In simpler form with it installed and u grab the dampener is it supposed to be able to twist and turn a little (due to the swivle?)

I got a chance to look at one this weekend and they look the same.. so I THINK it will fit(haven't confirmed it yet)

The only problem is you have to have an aftermarket air intake cause it is not going to fit with the o.e. one...(clearance issues)
