new 2009 ls, question about TPMS

hi, my smart buy was up on my 2005 base model 4 door, so i got a 2009 ls 4 door, my 2005 seemed more powerful, maybe cause it was broken in, both are 5 speeds. anyway, my question is, i have aftermarket wheels and tires (16in) i used for summer. i want to put them on the 2009, but do i have to buy these air pressure sensors and have them installed in the summer rims? or will my tire pressure system just show zero tire pressure, will that screw anything up?

You should be able to transfer the sensors to the new rims.

I think the sensors are cool, but you can run without them. I didn't pay for a second set to put in my winter wheel/tire setup. All you'll get is a warning message whenever you start the car and a solid warning light between the tach and speedo (beside the TCS light). I'll take looking at a second light (I run everywhere with TCS off anyway) over $300 in sensors any day.

its completely up to you on if you wanna run the sensors or not i got them put on my summer wheels just cause they were like $100 and i use those wheels basically 9 out of 12 months and after a while the light would get annoying. idk if the stealership would charge $300 for them i got them added onto my order from discounttiredirect.com for a little under $100.

It wont screw anything up but as mentioned youll have warning mesages and lights on all the time.

Why not just put the sensors in your new wheels??????
