Basic Replacement Struts..??
Hey guys,
So, since replacing my springs recently with Sportlines, I began wondering how long my stock struts will last.. I know that there's the obvious option of the Koni Yellows, but those are like 500/600 bucks.. Tokico was supposed to come out with their HP line for our cars, that'd probably run more like 300/400, but they're STILL not available.. And I'm not spending a grand for coil-overs.. Having that said, do any normal companies make replacement struts for our car that'd give a factory-like stiffness (not asking for Konis, just a similar ride to the stock FE3) at a cheaper price than getting the Konis..? Like Monroe or anyone..? I never looked into it, but I'm sure someone has to make a stock-style strut by now..
Any input..?? Thanks..!

Hmm. I'd rather have blown FE3's than something that's basically like an FE1.. lol. I guess I'll just wait it out and see if/when the Tokicos come out.. If they don't come out by the time I need new struts, I'll just get the Koni's..
Stock as-in FE3/FE5..?
From that statement, i'm assuming the GR2's are FE3, AGX are FE5, and Koni's are.. Well.. Koni's.. lol.

AGX (which will be better than the FE5's, but are not available from KYB) are ADJUSTABLE, like the konis, however the AGX do not handle the larger drops, like the Koni's will
Well all I know is i'd MUCH rather pay the extra few hundred dollars (I realize that is a pretty hefty difference though in price) for the $1,059 K-Sport Kontrol Pro coilovers than get the $700+ Konis. K-Sport is a very reputable brand. Don't believe me? Go to their website (www.ksportusa) and read up on their products and their racing success. Heres the key features for the Kontrol Pro coilovers, which are the most budget priced offering for our cars by K-Sport:
1. 36 levels of adjustable dampening
2. Made from high quality 6061 aluminum with T6 for increased hardness
3. Compression/Rebound adjustable
4. Adjustable spring perch for height adjustment
5. Adjustable body allowing maximum suspension travel
6. Pillowball top mount with adjustable camber (not available for some models)
7. Monotube high pressure design reduces oil leakage
8. Electroplated body for protection from corrosion and rust
9. One year limited warranty
Now, for $350 more than the Konis, I think you get ALOT more......
