Monroe Sensa Trac is also an option...how do they rate compared to the others...are they closer to an FE1/FE3 or similar to the KYB?

I was going to do the TC struts/shocks with my Sportlines, but maybe I'll just go KYB since they're a good brand and priced reasonably.

All I'm saying is that I already had the Sportlines, so it seemed to make sense to just get good struts to match.. I hear that coil-overs are very touchy, and our roads are really shitty around here.. lol.

Only if you have them on the stiffest setting. You can typically adjust them to a somewhat OEM feel.

See, the guy I bought my Sportlines from went to them.. He said they're great, but they're either too stiff or too soft..

Well, typicall coilovers are like 36 way adjustable. I'm sure that out of the 36 dampening/re-bound settings, you can find something to your liking. Its just you gotta have patience to fine tune them. Toy around with them are drive the car around until you find settings that fit you.

Just save up. Do it right once and you won't have to spend more money to go back and re-do it. I wish I had just waited and saved up for coilovers. But when I got my car I was in such a rush to hook it up. I lowered my car the 2nd month I had it, lol. Its crazy to think of how much this car has been through. How many places its been.......... and shoot, its getting ready to receive its FOURTH set of wheels. Stock 17" polished wheels, 18" Enkei WDMs, 19" Axis Mods, and now i'm gonna (try) to get some 20" Enkei LS-5's. Oh the ever changing-ness of my car

I thought the 08 SS/TC struts/shocks were stiffer than the previous SS/SC FE5 and could handle the drop better. If people here are saying that KYB GR2's are equivalent to FE5 then I would not bother with them.

The GR-2's are probally equal to that of the SS/TC shocks/struts. Just speculation though. But KYB is def good stuff.

I guess the only real way to find out would be to get KYB GR2's with Sportlines or H&R springs and see if they can hold up more than 40,000
Not sure if anyone at all on this site has ever installed the KYB's to put them through the test

I'll just have to see how the money situation is at that time.. If the FE3 ones never blow, then I just won't replace them.. haha
