CF Brake calipers?

hey does anyone know of any kind of Carbon Fiber brake Calipers? or if there is even a such thing haha

Ive never heard of carbon brake calipers for cars.....but if they did exist you wouldnt want to know what they cost since high end alloy calipers are already $3000 each.

You could make it happen if you have very deep pockets, but it would be a total waste.

Sure youd just need $5,000 for the rotors and another $1600 or so for pads, and of course youd need 19" wheels, and a caliper that will fit a 15.5" rotor.

Cool idea but I think you'd still need a liner for the pistons at the least as the bores would not be smooth. And then there's that issue of fluid wicking into the fibers. Only the outer shell would be smooth and shiny, the working part is not so pretty. Billet one piece Ti might be a better choice.

They will only bolt directly onto a Vette, they would need mods to fit anything else.
