When you get out of your car do you get shocked everytime you close your door?

I have leather seats and I get shocked every single time and it's actually starting to hurt now.

Im almost scared to close the door with my hands anymore.

 

Yep, pretty much every time

Airflow over the body creates the static, only way I know to eliminate it is one of those silly looking grounding straps that hangs under your car and drags on the road

Think the dry climate here (and in Texas) makes it worse. My hair actually gets staticed (is that a word?) to the headliner sometimes

 

I get shocked nearly every time I get out of my Cobalt. It pisses me off and sometimes the shock is so powerful that it hurts badly.

1. while your feet are still touching your cars floor touch something metal on your car.

2. then step out.


your stepping out onto dry ground then touching the outside of your car getting shocked.

i have that new sport cloth stuff and i get shocked every time. i get out and pause, trying think of something else to close the door with besides my hands. SHOCKER FTL

 

i'd rather close the door with my foot. it's easier than doing all that. j/k

I get shocked every once in a while but the shock isn't that bad.

 

Maybe it has something to do with the tires???

I get shocked everytime I get out of my friends balt, but just about never do when getting out of mine. They have the cheap conti's and I have michilins.

 

Today I got shocked on my nipple. It hurted

I've gotten shocked a couple of times usually on cold + windy conditions

 

Happens to me all the f@#%ing time.

There have been times at night when I can actually see an arc.

And when that $hit hits you in the nipple, it is FTMFL!

you're lieing, how in the hell do you get shocked on the nipples you must be doing it on purpose, admit it you've been getting freaky with your car

I get shocked all the time. Unfortunately I had static when I was changing my fuel filter and I zapped the relay in the fuse box.

 

So you had the relay in while doing the fuel filter change? Did it just fry the fuse or something else?

 

I did!

I couldn't open my door out all the way cuz I was in the garage and I leaned in the door and since Im tall, the top of the door hits me on my chest.

Therefore it shocked me on my right nipple.

It hurts.
