WTT + Cash, GMPP Touring Catback
WTT + Cash, GMPP Touring Catback
As Title states I have currently on my car a GMPP Touring catback Im thinking of Trading. Since I have installed my catless DP, the sound level has of course gone up.
So Im thinking of trading, + cash with someone who is willing and who has a good low mileage Stock LSJ exhaust.
As I said the GMPP Touring catback is ON my car and I would need yours and install it before I could ship mine. As far as cash with the trade, Hmmm, I dont know $200 bucks from you and you stock LSJ exhaust.
If I can get under my car Ill take some pic's and post up.
LMK, Thanks!

Do what i did , find a LSJ muffler and cut it about 35 inches from the tip of the muffler to the inlet pipe. Get a 2.25 coupler and put the stock muffler on the GMPP exhaust . It sounds amazing with a Downpipe, plus you can pop it off if you want to go back to your GMPP set up.
The reason i did this instead of just putting my stock exhaust back on was............... the stock resonator in the LSJ exhaust has a 2 and 1/16th inlet , it's about as bad of a restriction as the stock downpipe. Now atleast its one size all the way back.

NoBody? Well If I buy out right a used LSJ exhaust, I will be putting GMPP cat back up FS a Str8 sale. In which case I will be asking more than $200. Be more like $350.00. So no one wants to trade+cash?
Ok so now your gonna come on MY Thread and try to hurt my deal. Well your a real smart one, NOT. If your not gonna add to the thread, then move the **** on. Oh and just a little fyi, Im buying a stock LSJ exhaust from a local member, so that means as soon as I remove the GMPP cat back from my car it will be up for sale. And Im not buying the stock exhaust for its "increase" in flow. Im buying it for its quietness, thank you. ******* Moron.
It's no wonder the GMPP exhaust's show 10-12 hp gains on the dyno.
Well as I said, Im buying a LSJ stock system local this weekend. If I have to I will install a different center resonator. But my main reason to changing it is noise level. Just not into the volume level of my exhaust now with my catless dp. At 43yrs old I rather have it a little quieter.

My above post was directed toward the person saying the GMPP is too small and restrictive compare to stock. It's a good exhaust , and a definite upgrade compared to stock.

Dont know yet. If I can get Rukkee to send me a sound clip of his exhaust I might keep the gmpp system and just remove the muffler and install the stock LSJ muffler to quiet down my current set up. Ill keep you posted.
With my current setup it doesn't pop or gurgle when downshifting. and you can hear the SC so much more.
Well if you could do that it would be great. Im going to pick up a stock LSJ exhaust and if it sounds good Ill try your way. Rather do that then have to find the time to reweld the stock system together. Sound clips are easy, use you tube or I think photo bucket as the host.
Yep i'll try , i've never made a sound clip . It sounds close to stock a little louder, almost like the first day i put the GMPP touring on my car with the stock downpipe. As time went on my GMPP touring got louder as it "broke" in.

Well never mind on the Trading of exhaust's. I took "Rukkee's" advice and installed a stock LSJ muffler on the end of my GMPP exhaust, and all I can say is WOW! Sounds great and volume level is just right. And DAMN you can hear the SC now. Plus from the rear it has a sleeper look, with being able to see the stock muffler in its normal location and the stock tip sticking out.
Thanks RUKKEE!
