clutches are no good

well i bought my centerforce dual friction clutch, right part number and everything, and guess what the centerforce clutch isnt even close to fitting in my car. i am really mad right now at centerforce so no one get the centerforce clutch for the 2.2 ecotec. it will not fit!!!!!!!!!!

SS/SC has a different clutch than the 2.2L and 2.4L cars. Was it meant for a 2.2L or the SS/SC? That could be your problem.

centerforce doesn't make one for the 2.0 I tried yesterday. No go.

it was meant for the 2.2. anyways we called around to exedy and act as well, they sell the clutches, but they havent started making them yet.... thats what they said wtf! anyways yeah the part number everything was meant for the 2.2 but it jsut didnt fit. so centerforce messed up big time...

they could of sent you the 2.2 clutch for a cavy...... imo i would get the centerforce or a spec....i had a 88 turbo supra that i used a dual friction centerforce in and had no problems at all out of it.....but anyways why are u replacing the clutch anyways? ive got 33k on mine now and no problems at all

well it looks like they had sent me the 2000-2002 cavalier clutch. but instead i guess they are saying that the 2003-4 are the same as the cobalt. so they send one of those. so it should be put in tomorrow i hope without any further delays

I've heard quite the opposite.

one guy I know put a Spec on his Ion and sold it 2 days later on ebay, it felt like crap and didn't work any better than stock
