No Clutch Pressure
No Clutch Pressure
I had a clutch replacement last Friday, they installed the Exedy Hyper Single, and a new slave cylinder. Everything ran great, tons of pressure in the pedal, etc.
So I go out to my car this morning, and there is no pressure in the pedal, goes straight to the floor with no effort and returns to the original position when I let off.
I thought it might have been that the Master went through the firewall like other people with exedy but it is right where it is supposed to be.
My guess is either the bleed was done incorrectly (would it show up 400 miles later?) or the slave failed.
My question is, if the slave did fail, can it be replaces without dropping the transmission, etc. I do not want to pay $600 in labor again. How long does it take to simply replace the slave and then replace/bleed the fluid?

clutch pressure
i had the exact same thing happen to me. i had bought a spec stage 2+ clutch and after about 800 miles my slave failed. that is probably what happened to yours. and yes you will have to drop the transmission
