Unhappy Wrecked Balt

Alright, so I just got home from my deployment of 4 months. I left my car in florida with my little brother driving it while I was gone so he could get to work, ect. Everything was fine. Today I get an email from my mom saying my brother wrecked my car and to call home asap.

So I call, and she told me what happened. Someone cut him off badly and he jumped the median and hit a light pole. I haven't seen the damage, but from what my mother said, it's totaled. Now I'm not so upset that the car is totaled ( well I am ) but I'm more concerned that my brother is okay.

I was flying home to florida on saturday to get my car, lol. Ironic huh? Oh well, I guess once I know what the deal is, I'll be in the market for a new car, or at least, a newer used car. Any suggestions?

If you really liked your cobalt, get a turbo.

If you really want to step up, get a Camaro

I just got back from curacao. While it was a deployment, I guess you could really call it a vacation on the beach for 4 months. Although G.O. 1 was in full effect, so it took away from the deployment and where we were staying was shitty as hell.

Yeah, he says he's okay though. Shoulder is messed up I guess. I'll find out more on saturday when I go to florida. Just hasn't been my month.

Update! The towing company won't let my insurance agent inspect my car until I arrive tomorrow to sign a release. WTF!? So now I have to wait that much longer till I know the final verdict. Found out new info that there was a tree in the median as well, and the left rear quarterpanel is completely crushed in.

My day gets better and better as I get closer to going home to florida. *sigh*

Dang bro! Glad your brother is ok. I would hate to hear of a tragic accident due to someone else's stupidity.

As for the new car, I would look into the SS turbo. I love mine, its so easy to work on and mod, and its quick enough to get me by, lol.

Thought about an evo. AWD is the only type of car I haven't drove yet. As for an 09 TC...I think I'm done with coupes for awhile. I love them, but i'm about to get married and maybe this way just a sign that its time for 4 doors.

I'll take pictures when I go home and sign the release. What a freakin day!

haha. Yeah I'm not mad at my brother at all. Just curious, does anyone know why the air bags wouldnt deploy if he hit the pole at 30+ mph? Apparently he hit the pole on the left head light area..and the bags never deployed in the car.

Only reason I'm asking is because thats a safety hazard and I'm thinking about talking with a lawyer about it.
