OK. I went to gmpartsdepartment.com to see how much the SS/TC shocks and struts would cost. My question is... What is so special about the right strut to make it more than 2X more expensive than the left strut??!!

just a GM thing. there is really no difference. just like the coupe taillights are different prices for right and left

if you're looking to buy SS/TC struts and shocks ,almost half the cost is just for the right strut.

Its only an issue if you only need the right one...... If you price them as a pair they are very well priced, my guess is that one is higher to avoid having dealers use TC dampers for warranty purposes because the left one is actually the cheapest front strut.

 

are the tc struts and shocks really that much better than the sc's? like worth buying

 

You're right.

For both the left and right struts plus the shocks it's still a good price.
