changes to my cobalt!

this spring, my cobalt went under the knife... well, not really all I did was the paint but here it is.

BEFORE:

DURING:

AFTER:

now I'm debating if I should put a ¼ inch silver stripe along the colour separation to make it more obvious, sometimes when the sun hits it a certain way, you don't even notice the 2 colours :P What you guys think?

Next step sometime this summer; lowering kit

PS: i'm painting that front chevy logo black as we speak... 2nd coat is drying now.

Looks good, I think the silver strip would look good, but Id have some one photoshop it. Is that a darker shade of blue this time?

it's the same GM laser blue, used the colour code from the VIN but there's thicker paint on, makes it darker :P here's what it would look like with the line

tinting the windows is also planned, I just started me small business doing just that, but I want to practice on other people's cars before I do mine :P lol...

as for the drop, I KNOW... tired of driving a tractor. I'll look into the stripe tomorrow

The stripe, definitely. Nicely done, I like it a lot more than the "before" picture.

Did you remove the body kit and the glass? The sanded pics still had the bodykit on.

Never had a body kit, it's the stock 2,4L SS bumpers and it still is.

Actually, the pictures don't show it but it is pretty shiny, those pics where taken with a nice camera that can take the glare out and block sunlight and such and it made the car look dull and it wasn't all that sunny to boot... don't worry it could've been buffed more, but it's still pretty "glassy" IRL.

meh, first bad comment about them I heard so far, I would've preferred solid black too but laws here suck bawls. What don't you like?

not with my budget just that laser blue paint is a crazy 178$/litre (about 710$/gallon) and I lost my job after having started sanding it so it cut the projects short :P drop is planned, tinted windows, new mags/tires, lambo doors, S/C and other performance stuff I didn't look into yet but now all those will have to wait until I get a new job, pay the late bills and put some aside.

this picture shows a bit more how shiny it is

yep I did... I didn't wetsand the entire car after the paint, waiting for it to get harder first... no wax or anything on it either.

I did my mags this weekend and got a couple shots of it all done.
