hello new member with a question

I recently bought a 2006 cobalt SS 2.4 auto. I have been reading posts that they run a 15.5-15.9 stock. My question is I live at 1850 ft above sea level. I have a 03 gmc truck that runs a 15.40 and it blows the cobalt away. I need to know what is the best way to shift the auto. and what are the best mods to do. I just ordered the CAI from inj. What next. I really think that this thing needs a good tune. let me know where to get tuning from. Thanks, Jared

Welcome to the site.

The best way to shift the auto is just to let it be. Going through the gears manually with the shifter could cause problems.

If you really want a tune and aren't far away from Kansas City, here's a link to a solstice forum. They are having a meet in KC and Vector Motorsports (they do 2.4 tunes) is going out ot KC to sell tunes at a special price to all the guys out there. Here's a link if your interested.http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=13978 check it out. And the tune is definatly worth it.
