CTI OR Volant headers fit 2.4?

Just wondering if the headers from these companies fit the2.4? I am looking at an Injen CAI and the Corsa exhaust, Vector tune. I would like a one piece header/cat as well. Thanks in advance.

Did a search for 2.4 headers and these two names came up. Maybe I'm mistaken. Let me rephrase-- does anyone currently make headers for the 2.4 apart from the GM extrude honed one?

Volant makes intakes, which we sell as a dealer. However, we have never heard of them ever making a header yet...

any ecotec header will work, but those designed for the 2.2's will give less gains. There's a weapon r header on ebay now check it out.

Re: CTI or Volant headers fit 2.4

Sorry, it's not Volant---VIBRANT!!(what a dope). I believe Vibrant makes a long tube header/cat combo and I was wondering if this would fit the 2.4. GM extrude honed and Scdyne headers apparently fit all three (2.0,2.2,2.4). I can only assume it's the same block for all three--just changes in bore and stroke that give the differences in displacement.
CTI (Custom Tubes Inc) was a company referred to in several 2.0 performance posts. I don't know if their long tube header is currently available; in development; or just a future consideration.

Why do you say this?? If the headers all bolt up the same way and have the same size primaries and the same size outlet; ie one header application for all three, then it wouldn't make a difference. Yes, you will see different gains on the different engines, but as long as a 2.2L header is built just like one for a 2.0L or 2.4L then it will work just fine. Now, if a header is designed specifically for the 2.2L with factory cat, then no, I wouldn't want it at all.

Perhaps you are talking about the Pacesetter?? On the 2.2L, the factory cat is a big restriction (just under a 2" outlet), as I have mentiond in my thread about a bolt in high flow cat from Random Technology. If someone with a 2.2L or 2.4L is upgrading with say a Corsa cat-back and installing a header, then they will want a header with a 2.5" collector and they will want 2.5" pipe and high flow cat b/n the header and the cat-back.

For information about the direct fit bolt in cat:

Contacted Stainless Works-- they are looking to eventually make one sometime in the next few months

Contacted CTI-- they have a 3" block to tip system available for the 2.0 S/C SS. I would order it if I knew it would fit the 2.4 SS. Does anyone know?
