Think I fkt up
Uh oh... So redid the headlights this past saturday, love the look, love them overall. But today I noticed some condensation >.< Thought I did a good job of selecting a good sealer but now it looks like Wednesday night is going to be reserved completely for resealing. I bought 2 bottles of this stuff in the picture and only used one. Should I pry apart and retry this **** or go with something else? God I hated prying those ******* apart...

the brand is permatex and i dont know the product name but its the black stuff. cost is under 10 cant remember exactly how much though brought mine months ago.
make sure you let it dry completly before putting the the lights back in, if the fumes from the sealent get stuck in the light they will fog the lens permanently, I helped a buddy do his headlights here in town and he fucked up both lenses. He bought permetrex grey ultra gasket seal and the fumes ruined he lenses by the next morning, looked like condensation but it was permenent.
rofl I even knew not to get gasket seal ^ ^ I bought some goop stuff but it said contact sealant and adhesive, dont know where the problem was. I really couldn't see it in the track cuz it was clear so that could have attributed tot he problem

did it specifically say waterproof?
I used some caulk sealant for doors and windows. It is waterproof and is for outside. I just installed my headlights yesterday and my passenger side just started leaking today. I drove my car with the headlights on and they evaporated the moisture. I don't know if I should just add some more sealant on top of the new selant or just leave it and see if they get any worse?

take it apart clean and throughly dry the light and reseal generously with sealant.
I used a clear windshield silicone sealant, and it works great.
I thought the left over grey goop would have done the job but apparently I had some gaps because I got some wicked fog, so I just coated over it with the clear silicone and I have had no trouble since.

My main problem was after I redid the headlights, the goop I used melts at like twice the temperature of plastic I bet, cuz it didn't budge with heat. So I had to go seal over the top. WARNING : Sealing the top looks good with hood closed, but open that bad boy up and you can see the line of silicon =\
