User reviews requested (time for new tires)
User reviews requested (time for new tires)
UPDATED! I changed the list to reflect summer tires instead of All Seasons.
So my factory original Michelins are worn out, time for new tires. I told myself I would not get new wheels until they did, and they finally have. I have a 2005 LS with the 4*100 lugs and 16" aluminum wheels. I have already settled on replacing those with the Enkei RPF-1 in a 17*7 in Bright Silver. Tire Rack has is for the best price I have found so far on-line at $225 a piece. I haven't looked locally yet, that's next. If you can find me a better price, tell me so.
The tires are another matter. Too many damn choices. Looking for some reviews. Remember, this is a street car, daily driver. 215/45R17. Still shopping right now, but I have narrowed the options down to the following:
Bridgestone
RE760
Goodyear
Eagle F1 Asymmetric
Pirelli
PZero Nero
Michelin
Pilot Exalto PE2
BFGoodrich
g-Force T/A KDW
I'm leaning toward the Bridgestones or the BFG's. So as the Joker says, "Here we go!"

I wish I had experience with any of these tires...I'm currently looking at replacing my stock 15" tires with 205/60's and I am looking at the G-force Sport, RE960 Pole Position, Eagle GT. You mention you want all season, bu the G-force Sport tires are NOT. They are a summer tire...just so you know...you would be looking at the G-force Super Sport only.
I'm waiting it out though as I don't want to buy 15" tires...I'd rather find a set of 16" alloys locally, but nobody has any for sale...then I would run a 225/50 16 and still look at the three I listed above.

i had the f1's on my trans am and let me tell you, i love those tires, the turn in response was incredible, i had to relearn how to drive. they were great in dry great in wet, no good in snow, they were very quiet. and well i cant say enough about them except they were expensive
I was wondering about the BFG Sport. There was nothing on their site saying if it was specifically a summer only tire. Okay, thanks, that helps narrow the list.
So I got some good advice today and learned that an All Season is really just not necessary here in Nashville. I was mistaken and thought the All Season was needed for the temperatures in winter when it really is not. It would be needed for driving on snow, which we get twice a year here. Summer tires do fine in cold weather as long as the pavement is not snow covered. So I'm gonna rethink my selections and post up the new ones momentarily.

I just found some good side-by-side test results/comparisons of these exact tires on line. The Michelins were first place, but are about 170 bucks per tire! The Bridgestones came in second and are about the cheapest of the bunch at about $130. I think my mind is made up. Anybody out there have those Bridgestones on their car right now?
Just found the whole package locally through Discount Tire. The wheels, tires, mounting, even cocentric rings, new lug nuts, and center caps. They beat TireRack.com's prices easily, and I don't have to pay any shipping either. This is going very well. Still looking for a user review of this combination it anybody has it.
The only thing I have to tell you is to check both discounttire.com and discounttiredirect.com (same company, the latter is an online to your door setup and they are sometimes cheaper). Take the prices from discounttiredirect.com if they are cheaper to your local store and have them price match...sometimes you can save a few more bucks.
I don't know anything about those Bridgestone tires you listed (in fact I've never been a fan of them), but I did a lot of searching on the RE960AS Pole Positions and I'm starting to lean towards those myself. They sound like amazing tires for the price.

why not consider the Yokohama Parada spec-2? unique tread like the BFG's, but uber quiet and well mannered on the highway.
(I have the parada's currently, and have had BFGs before..)
