Or you can submit your idea to Tokyo Drift to replace their Nissan motor in a Ford...

Dude, buy the best 4cyl honda you can find for under 1000 bucks. Gut it, drop this in, bolt it, tune it, some dr's and say bye to most of the cars on this site.

don't do it, $1500 for the motor and a shit load more for all the fabrications and labor you would need to make it work. it would probably be thousands cheaper and your car would be faster to buy a turbo kit and some other goodies

see k20's are great and all but I have spent 750 on my D build and have 343 FWHP on my crx , and I have a block guard , vitara pistons , eagle rods , acl bearings , cometic headgasket , etc and I walk alot of shit at the track in KC. alot of all motor RSX-s's I mean they are pretty quick but for less money build a d blow it and build it again for uber cheap and still be damn quick. I love my d16 <3 hell I am selling my balt to get another honda , Ide rather have another Civic or accord , they are extremely cheap to replace parts and fix , and the cobalt just aint doin it for me.

lmao....

this is not the way it goes.

He would have to gut the entire car and go full stand alone.

It wouldnt even be streetable.

Of course he would have to go standalone.... I have run into two k swapped hatchs in the past year, and both of them were streetable high 12 second cars. I dont understand the rocket science here. Its a K swap. None the less its a decent price for people with a project honda.

Only 210hp, what about torque...

were talking about this in a cobalt.

Nothing would work. not only would you have to go full standalone, nothing, literally nothing in your car would work.

you would have to go so far as fab up a new mount for a new Gas pedal as the one we have wont work.

new tranny as well.

then comes new axles. driveline.

basiclly the only thing you could keep would be some of the front suspension and frame.

You would also have to have a great custom fab worker to make some engine mounts that wont fail.

I could go on for hours. its not going to happen. ever.

And I am saying just that too, and that is, dont bother will all the bs of dropping this into a balt, and drop in into a honda instead. I mean, your just going to end up having honda owners and cobalt owners both hating... hahah

it would actually cost MUCH less to buy the engine AND a honda car than to try and make that motor work in a cobalt.
