so my friend is selling is type S engine
Of course he would have to go standalone.... I have run into two k swapped hatchs in the past year, and both of them were streetable high 12 second cars. I dont understand the rocket science here. Its a K swap. None the less its a decent price for people with a project honda.

Nothing would work. not only would you have to go full standalone, nothing, literally nothing in your car would work.
you would have to go so far as fab up a new mount for a new Gas pedal as the one we have wont work.
new tranny as well.
then comes new axles. driveline.
basiclly the only thing you could keep would be some of the front suspension and frame.
You would also have to have a great custom fab worker to make some engine mounts that wont fail.
I could go on for hours. its not going to happen. ever.
And I am saying just that too, and that is, dont bother will all the bs of dropping this into a balt, and drop in into a honda instead. I mean, your just going to end up having honda owners and cobalt owners both hating... hahah
it would actually cost MUCH less to buy the engine AND a honda car than to try and make that motor work in a cobalt.
