So on the news of the demise of the SS Sedan im just curious to see how many were made and made it on to this site, and would also like to know the same for the coupes
I have a coupe. I must say if a sport red coupe and a sport red sedan were next to each other when I was going to buy I wouldn't be able to decide. Right now i'm thinking I should have done the sedan.
I liked the coupe styling as well. GM has a way of making the coupes look sleeker: the G6 and Cobalt are examples. The sedan versions all have a similar rear style with the triangular tail lamps.
FWIW, my Cobalt SS/TC Coupe had a shipping weight of about 2900 lb, and that's with whatever fuel they had in the tank at the time.
If GM took out the rear seats, the coupes would be bona fide sports cars.

I wish GM didnt skimp on the rear end of the sedan .... its like they just gave up on the design. it doesnt flow, but it can be made to look good. hailceasers sedan looks good from the rear with the ss/sc rear lip.
I like the rear end. It looks like a stock cobalt
. If you approach one from the rear, the only thing giving it out would be the badges, larger exhaust pipe/tip, and the super wide wheels!
