Talking Nova with a 305 4 barrel edlebrock vs 06 ss/sc

so my buddy i work with jus got his 1974(i think) nova running again and he swore he would dust my ass so i told him to line it up with me

1974 nova- 305 with 4 barrel edlebrock carb, 3.73 rear gears, gutted inside

(me) 2006 Cobalt ss/sc- K&N intake and b&m short shifter

we lined them up after work today, bout 1/8 of a mile maybe less, first round from a stop i won by a with him about a third of a car behind me so we switched sides of the road bc the side he was on had dirt on it he said thats why he lost so we line up again from a stop i won by maybe half a car then my other buddy i work with just for ***** and giggles he ran me in his stock CRX i smoked him we both only made it through 2 gears thats why i think its maybe less than a 1/8 of mile but yea it was fun def wanna see if my buddy can get his crx up to my level or my other buddy with the 305 up to my level
