Flipped my trunk....

I used the how to found here:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-flip-trunk-100600/

and modified it to work better.

Here are the results!

Before:

Done to the letter of the "how to":

After my mods:

It still allows the trunk to be functional as a normal trunk, then you simply remove 2 bolts and you've got this for shows. It will be nice once I get my subs and system in the trunk to be able to show it off with this mod.

That's exactly it. Something extra for show. Now that I've done this, it gave me the idea to automate it. I'm looking at a couple of linear actuators that will let me pop the trunk and then slide it straight out with the press of a button.

Thanks for the comments!

he said he can still open it as a regular trunk. he only has to remove a few bolts and it opens like that.

oh you know why.

at car shows they give you points for having mods that are completely pointless. i mean look at all those honduhs with the HUGE wings (kind of resembling MassiveMatts) that get all kinds of awards.

Why does anybody do anything custom on their car?

Why? Well at the show tonight before I had even been there 20 minutes, 8 different people stopped and looked at it, asked about it, commented positively about it, and I was one of the more popular cars there tonight!

It's just something I liked, and like I said, it will be a great way to show off my system when it's done.

ive had the luxury of seeing this piece of artwork, and his abundance of equally sized trophies, at a local car show. looked real sleek, almost like a couger.....or something.....catlike.
