Anyone know which one would be better or are they about the same?

Any input will help im just starting mods and really have no idea where to start! All the car has right now is aero turbine exhaust tip.

K&N they have dyno results of 15+ hp gain on the 2.4

 

yeah im kinda leaning towards k&n because i like the specific fit for the 2.4L

I went with K&N. I love it.

 

I had the K&N, loved it. No experience with the injen though.

 

When ZZP did a dyno test with a stock intake, their intake and the injen, the injen intake made less power then the stock airbox did.

 

K&N! I have it on my 2.4 and you can really feel/hear it!

 

how is that even possible.

theres no way a 3" pipe with a filter on the end can cause more restriction than a corrugated pipe with a huge plastic box on the end.

 

I know Dunkin' has Dyno proof, but that's insane that an intake will increase hp by 10-12.

 

that test was for the ss/sc not the 2.4.

 

don't hate, but look at the specifics for the test. big humidity and temperature change between the 2 runs.also,look at the days almost a year apart.and are those numbers at the crank? i also noticed the air fuel ratio, huge difference there...went from 14.99 to 9.6. 2.4's run really rich. if you can tune it more lean, you could get those numbers running stock intake

Same CF though, SAE. If anyone is wondering, SAE correction factor is used to show dyno numbers as if they were made at 29.23 InHg of dry air and 77 F. This is so numbers like this can be compared on different days as they will assume the same conditions, despite different actual "day of" weather conditions.

 

both runs where on the same dyno and are at the wheels. the weather is close for the most part, but they are different. The air fuel ratio from the stock run was not taken so that is why it is off.

 

K&N gives better results on the 2.4 than AEM's CAI. I found this out on a dyno, so I stick with the typhoon intake i currently have.

 

The reason I went with the K&N is because it's SRI, not CAI. It's a bit easier to install, and I think it looks nicer when you pop the hood.

 

K&N i love mine had it more than a year no problems great sound. cant speak for the injen i here a lot of good things about them too either way im sure u will be happy with it.

 

I own the K&N. Don't have any Dyno results. Just my own expierence/ pleasure of using it. Only thing I really noticed was the difference in sound. Makes the care sound meatier at wide open throttle. But if you want to be quite all you have to do is drive normal.
