Interested in a polished Valve Cover?

I have gotten quite good at polishing aluminum over the last few months and was wondering if there was a demand for these things, as of now, I have 3 valve covers for the LSJ sitting in my shop and I am going to start to polish them this weekend if there is any interest. I was thinking between $200- $250 per valve cover with a core. I wish I would have taken pictures of the nitrous bottle and engine mounts I did for my buddies Nova. They were Awesome. Any thoughts on this? Does the price sound about right?

anyone interested?

35 Views and no reply? maybe I wont be polishing these things lol??

is the price to high?

its more about how long it takes to do it. it took me 15 hours to complete the Nitrous bottle. maybe the valve cover is easier? I dont know I havent done one yet. but I know to get good results its going to take alot of time. this is a feeler more than anything.

I see... the core would be optional untill I run out of valve covers. then you would need to send me one. I think with no core $200.00 is fare. maybe not? we'll see how long it takes to do the 1st one.

the real question is do people even want them? the price is yet to be set.

i've done the valve covers already for locals about 6 times already. takes me myself 4-6 for a perfect shine. but i can can still get the mirror look and shine in 3 hours rest of time is "perfecting" the finish.

Thats good to know. Ill prolly just polish them and sell them. if someone wants to send me a core I'll just knock $50-$60 off.

yeah i mean the valve cover is pritty square for the basic shape... A DA is very handy there and there are only a few tight spaces.

The price is a little steep, I've done several of these over the last 3 years. Here's a pic of a polished cover!
It takes me about 8 hours to get it like this

Here is a 2.4 almost done!

Thats nice. Thats about what the nitrous bottle I did looked like. the worst part about that was getting the purple ZEX paint off.

its nothing against you, its the mods see someone trying to make a product to sell for us ( which im all for ) and they lock everything thats not a supporting vendor.

oh, I'm fine with that if im breaking rules. (not meaning to break any) I just have some spare parts and thought i would polish them before selling them. I could always put them on E-Bay.

he's not selling a product, he's seeing what interest there is.
