Steering wheel - felt vibration?

Does anyone else feel a lot of vibration through the steering wheel? I have observed a lot of vibes at highway speeds, but I chalked it up to the characteristics of FWD cars and/or the low profile tires on our horrible SE MI roads/freeways.

The car has less than 300 miles on the odometer. Any ideas?

Pretty sure they fixed the rotor prob on the 09's. I feel slight vibration on hard braking in mine. I also notice I notice a vibration when I initially take off in the mornings because of tire pressure. Once the tires get warmed up it smooths out. It's probably the roads, with the tire combination.

It shook for me when my tires weren't balanced properly and when I had a nail in my tire. Both of those are fixed and no vibrations at all. Is it at a certain speed?

Easy alignment test is to let go of steering wheel and shift into neutral while coasting. If it pulls to one side, then its alignment.

Didnt you have a rotor problem Rissa? I am curious since my VIN falls into the "rotor recall" category. Up until now I have had NO vibration in wheel, but now it kinda shutters...

Nope I didn't have a rotor problem, and I'm still good at 16,xxx miles. My only vibration was from when I got the wheels powdercoated and the little dude didn't balance them right, and then after I got lowered I got a nail in my tire. Felt vibrations between 50 and 70 mph.

I get some shuddering when I get on the gas in my SS/SC, but I know mine is due to the Ingals torque damper.

Well luckily Im at the house and decided to do some hard braking just to see about the rotors on mine. I definitely feel slight vibration in the wheel and pulsation in the pedal, but mine feels like the abs kicking in and/or the tires slightly locking on pavement. I have read through the TSB and recalls, and I am still unsure about this "pulsing at hard braking". I just did a lot of 0-80-0 runs at the 1/4 mile strip behind my house, and I braked hard enough to smoke the brakes, and I still cant determine what classifies as "pedal pulsating and steering wheel shakes". Anybody had to get rotors replaced on the front because of this recall, and felt the problem with their car? If so please PM some more details...I have already thread jacked enough. Sorry metro.
