Similar Bucket Seats

My stepbrother let me drive his 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS today. And the thing I really liked about the car, were the seats. When I compare it to when I'm driving my Cobalt LS its a completely different experience.

My base LS seats, I feel like they don't "hug" you like the Eclipse's seats do.

I was wondering if these seats are similar to the Eclipse's and if they have better "hug" than the stock seats of an LS.

Thanks

you dont need racing seats in your damn car... If you want a hug go find your mommy. Or eat a damn hamburger, american car seats are for fat people...

Ok thats just it, im not fat. But, yet the other seats on the Eclipse felt perfect. I dont know about anyone else, but, I feel as if the seat gives you a better control of the car.

well, get going, you can call it the "hamburger mod" eat until you are perfectly molded to the seats... Rather than molding the seats to you. Its just easier that way.

Unless you want bedsores on your ass, don't get racing seats. The nice thing about oem seats is that they offer some form of adjustability in the ass region or as you would refer to it "slide around room". The thing about racing seats is they hold you directly in place offering no "wiggle" room when on a commute, have just cashed a large paycheck and for once have a thick wallet, or are just on freaking vacation. Racing seats feel comfortable for about 5 minutes and then when you want to adjust your butt because it's beginning to hurt as all the blood settles in your butt you take off your seatbelt and careen into the nearest stationary object because you were dumb enough to buy racing seats for a daily driver!

yea
they work great in accidents
you get abdominal trauma 100% of the time in major accidents

if ur gonna get seats, get ones that are proven to be safe, they arent cheap

ive seen so many people get cheap seats, and gotten serious injuries from the seats themselves, and woulda been fine with stock seats

Moral of the story...don't buy Tenzo R racing seats!

Seriously though, my friend used to have some Tenzo R's in his Cavi...they weren't the same model, but I can tell you they were like sitting on wood. They were horribly uncomfortable and felt very cheap...because they were.

If you're going to get racing seats, get some decent ones, thats what i'm doing eventually.

Damn all you midgets! There's nothing wrong with big seats! Some of us (like my 6'6" 285 pound ass) need bigger things. I like the stock seats, if only they were wrapped in SS non g85 leather!

Ok instead of flaming my idea, why don't you suggest a seat that is similar to it?

Like, "The recaros in the g85, GOD DAMN THEY'RE COMFY! IMHO way more comfoprtable than the eclipse."

I can see opinions like this, but everyone is just bashing me yet again.

Cool, I'll put that into consideration. But do you know the model name that Recaro has in the SS g85?

I really like the Recaro Sport Topline. Black Leather w/ Blue Suede.

But 1,599.00 a seat is steep, but it seems like its worth it.

Thanks!

I highly suggest these Recaro Seats. They are extremely cheap for what you get. I will be getting these in the fall in red. These will grip you better than the stock SS recaro seats.
