Brake lines for ss/tc?

Hey everyone! Have a quick question...

What options do we have for ss/tc brake lines? I know that the FTP ones will work, but I was hoping for a couple of choices to compare...

The problem I am finding is that many of the companies list their brake lines as '05+' and the brakes for the 08 are much different than those of the previous years (correct me please if I am wrong). Even a search on the forum hasn't yielded any results for the 08 ss/tc options, just ss/sc brake lines.

I was thinking about powdercoating the calipers and I figured that while I have everything torn apart I might as well upgrade the brake system as well.... any help would be greatly appreciated...

Right now i think the only company who has them is FTP which we stock, however Goodridge and Techna Fit said they should have a set out shortly.

I will followup with goodridge tomorrow and see what kind of ETA they have.

Personally for the price I would go with FTP but i will try and get you another option.

I swear by Goodridge lines. I ran the FTP lines for a while in a pinch(more than one set) and wont run them again.

You could probably buy the LS brake line kit and get rear caliper ines made for abut the same price as what the SS/SC line kit goes for.

Your brake hoses are not the place to sacrifice for the sake of $45.

NGA and OTTP both have provided excellent service and good products. But Goodrich is the one to go with, and I will go with Maven on this; I ran Corvette C5 goodrich lines on my Brembo TC conversion at first but they were about 1/2 inch too long , and have since gone to Maven's recommendation; a 1/2 inch makes a difference and clocking the banjo is very important and the regular cobalt ones are 1/2 inch too short.

k... I looked at the FTPs because they were the only ones that guaranteed they would fit the 08 ss/tc... What I am hearing is that I should wait for goodridge to put together a 08 ss/tc kit. The goodridge website says that their lines are for 05+, which doesn't make a lot of sense since the braking system for that ss/tc is different than previous models.

Maven, you were commenting that I could use 4 of the lines in the kit and it would be the same... could someone elaborate?.....

Brakes are something that I am not going to screw with... I plan on having exactly the right application/kit for my car....

I think I may go with a local company here is slc that specializes in making hoses/brake lines.... They said they could copy the stock lines with all of the proper ends provided I bring them the ones off the car.... That way I know they will work....
