hailcesar75 07-04-2009, 07:57 PM I know its no big deal but i just installed my rear koni's and Progress rear sway bar......
Didnt know if this needed to go in pics or suspension since its both......
It wasnt as tough as I thoought. Having an impact gun sure helps also.....

I used the jack to help me with the install, was having a hard time before using it..

Basically just used it as its used when changing springs. Heres a better pic to show anyone interested in getting an idea of how its installed...

You can see here where the ends of the sway bar go. The lit comes with nut plates also that you have to slide in right under the springs in a small slot

Havent had a feel for them yet but will probably do so on monday
Well, thats it. Next up is my complete exhaust install. Just have to get some gaskets for the cat back. Also will be purchasing a cf trunk from CA, They gave me a killer deal on it..
Thanks for looking :twothumbs
07MetallicSC 07-04-2009, 08:01 PM looks good man! doesnt it ride nice?! I have the exact same setup.
hailcesar75 07-04-2009, 08:04 PM havent hit the twisty's yet. soon tho
im just waiting on getting front koni struts too
07MetallicSC 07-04-2009, 08:17 PM ull notice a big difference, side to side and also going straight when you hit bumps, the recovery after the bump will be quicker. youll be happy.
hailcesar75 07-04-2009, 08:23 PM Really cuz i do go over alotta bumps on my way to work!!!! SWEET!!
FastSSinNH 07-04-2009, 09:14 PM Install that damn exhaust!!!!!!! Im dying to see it!
hailcesar75 07-04-2009, 09:54 PM I went to auto zone and showed them the used gasket I had, told em I needed two gaskets and they gave me some that were a little too big or a little too small. Do you think that matters? Maybe just the smaller ones and sand the hole a bit larger?
I just wanna make you happy Joe. :twothumbs

That must be on the soft setting because if I end up getting I want them to be stiff for hard cornering.
FastSSinNH 07-04-2009, 11:00 PM If they are too big just trim them. Aslong as the holes for the bolts line up. When I put my magnaflow on I just re-used my stock gaskets because they weren't in bad shape. That was 30k miles ago and not one leak.
hailcesar75 07-04-2009, 11:13 PM Cool. Then I'm gonna get this done tomorrow!
Do I really have to cut the stock ekhaust in order to remove it?
rallyracer 07-04-2009, 11:17 PM Do I really have to cut the stock ekhaust in order to remove it?
Yep.
hailcesar75 07-04-2009, 11:29 PM What's the easiest way to cut it?
rallyracer 07-04-2009, 11:40 PM What's the easiest way to cut it?
Use a hacksaw and cut right before the rear axle.
FastSSinNH 07-05-2009, 08:32 AM Ehhhhh, id use a sawzall. Much eaiser. A hacksaw will work but it takes a lot of sweat if ya know what I mean. Atleast it did for me lol. We cut Glen229s exhaust with a sawzall and it tool like 10 seconds haha.
hailcesar75 07-05-2009, 09:05 AM Would a dremmel work?
FastSSinNH 07-05-2009, 09:06 AM Haha I dont know..... you could try it. Or rent a sawzall
rallyracer 07-05-2009, 09:10 AM with a sawzall and it tool like 10 seconds haha.
Sawzall will work...Just be careful not to cut unplanned items too. A fast sawzall may cut the pipe fast but it will also cut up other shit before you know it too.
FastSSinNH 07-05-2009, 09:19 AM Unless you are drunk or mildly retarded you will be fine.
hailcesar75 07-05-2009, 10:42 AM Ha ha I think I'll go with a dremmel and take my time
07MetallicSC 07-05-2009, 10:57 AM you can take the exhaust off in one piece, ive done it. jack the car up to the friggin moon, and unbolt the rear shocks so the rear end swings down, with some fanagaling it will come out. it is easier tho to cut it.
That must be on the soft setting because if I end up getting I want them to be stiff for hard cornering.
theyre on the hardest setting

Hummm, so on the hardest setting there soft when you hit bumps. To me that doesn't sound right.
07MetallicSC 07-05-2009, 11:59 AM when did i ever say it was soft on the hardest setting?

that is what i said
hailcesar75 07-05-2009, 12:04 PM I think finagaling sounds better to me.
rallyracer 07-05-2009, 12:08 PM when did i ever say it was soft on the hardest setting
Thats what I was trying to figure out...you said something about them recovering faster after bumps and I was wondering if that was on the soft or stiffest / hardest setting. You said hardest and I was confused. I figured on the stiffest setting the car would shake and bounce all over after hitting some nasty bumps.
07MetallicSC 07-05-2009, 12:14 PM its stiffer so you instead of hitting the bump and going 50 ft say after your shock compresses and retracts, it does it in say 30 feet. you bounce around a little more but nothing uncomfortable.
rallyracer 07-05-2009, 12:15 PM its stiffer so you instead of hitting the bump and going 50 ft say after your shock compresses and retracts, it does it in say 30 feet. you bounce around a little more but nothing uncomfortable.
I see, thats all I was trying to figure out.
hailcesar75 07-07-2009, 07:22 AM well. i took my car out for a ride on the twisties and man she handles 100x better!! doesnt throw me to the sides on the turns and feels way smoother than before. I dont know about you guys but this mod is a must. you can actually feel the difference!!
07metallicsc............you were right :twothumbs
07MetallicSC 07-07-2009, 10:39 AM would I lie to you? lol
hailcesar75 07-07-2009, 11:20 AM I don't know why I hear some peeps say it doesn't make a difference
JoshuaVnyrd1817 07-07-2009, 11:26 AM Very nice. Did you put the front on too?
hailcesar75 07-07-2009, 11:44 AM Nah just have an mrz strut bar
wardzach2007 07-07-2009, 11:59 AM looks good
hailcesar75 07-07-2009, 12:17 PM Ugh!!!!!!
wardzach2007 07-07-2009, 12:30 PM Ugh!!!!!!
