What is the governer set at on the LS,LT and SS?

What is the governor set at on the LS,LT and SS?

I don’t remember reading when the governor kicks in on the 3 modes. Anyone know?

Those that have the Cobalt, go find out

JonelZ... Thats a good question.. and now you have screwed up my night.. BECAUSE.......... I'm going to be digging to find this out... I am curious now... and I have no clue where to start. Actually.. I do kinda.... But now this question is going to be bugging me... Thanks!

I thought the SS/SC didn't have a governor, top speed was drag limited. As for the 2.2 L Cobalts, who knows..

SS/sc does not have a speed limiter, as for the Base, LS, and LT I would imagine it will be simular to the CAV 108mph

according to the car&driver test on a an LS sedan it is 124mph

says
Top speed (drag limited): 124 mph

Yeah, no govenors on these cars at all. It is all in gearing that limits their top speed. I guess GM wants them to be more "import" like.

Car And Driver in the February 05' issue did a preview on the SS Supercharged, not any testes (just estimates). They have "Top Speed (drag limited).........140 mph"
